Arsenalhaveagreed a deal with Valenciaworth an initial £13 million plus add-ons for Cristhian Mosquera.
Mikel Arteta's side have been in the market for a new centre-back and Mosquera has emerged as their top target after impressing in La Liga last season.

football.london understands Arsenal are hopeful that the deal will be sorted and finalised for Mosquera to travel to Asia for their pre-season tour on Saturday. The Gunners face AC Milan in Singapore in the club's first friendly on Wednesday, July 23. They then take on Newcastle United four days later.
Mosquera, who has less than 12 months left on his contract,all-but confirmed his departure from Valencia on Monday. "This is my home and it always will be," he told Spanish radio station Radio Marca Valencia.
"I arrived here at 12 years old and I'm leaving as a man. I'm a bit sad."
When asked about where his next challenge would lie, Mosquera remained tight-lipped. "I prefer the club announces it first and then..." he added.
He was then quizzed about whether he was happy with his new chapter in his career. Once again, he kept his cards close to his chest, stating: "It’s exciting but I leave here feeling sad."
Valencia were prepared to battle to keep hold of Mosquera and tie him down to a new contract, but the defender appears to be making the move to the Emirates Stadium. He is seen as the ideal addition to compete for a spot alongside William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes.
The Spain Under 21s international has made 90 appearances for Valencia since breaking into the first-team, scoring one. He featured 37 times for The Black and Whites during the 2024/25 season.
So far this summer, Arsenal have signed three players. Kepa Arrizabalaga arrived in a £5m swoop from Chelsea, Martin Zubimendi made the £51m move from Real Sociedad and Christian Norgaard joined for £10m from Brentford.
More signings are expected to follow. Noni Madueke is closing in on a £52m switch from Chelsea, while Viktor Gyokeres is anticipated to sign from Sporting CP and of course Mosquera is about to complete a move from Valencia.
