A 50-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha district is fighting for his life after a snake bit his tongue while he was trying to kiss it for a video. The shocking incident happened on Friday evening in Haibatpur village and has gone viral on social media, with many users mocking the dangerous stunt.
The man, Jitendra Kumar, is a small-time farmer. According to locals, he had rescued the snake and wanted to show off by making a video with it. Witnesses say he was drunk and smoking at the time.
In the video, Jitendra is seen with the snake around his neck, slowly bringing it close to his mouth. As he sticks out his tongue to kiss the snake, it suddenly bites him, leaving everyone stunned. His health quickly worsened, and he was taken to a nearby hospital. Doctors later referred him to a private hospital in Moradabad, where he is now in the ICU in critical condition.
The village head, Jaikirat Singh, confirmed the details. He said the snake had come out from a wall, causing panic in the village. Jitendra caught it, played with it, and tried to kiss it. When his grip slipped, the snake bit him on the tongue. After that, the snake escaped into nearby bushes.
The family has not informed the police about the incident.
