India's second-innings

England's first innings

England, who had lost five wickets for 276, needed a big partnership. This need was fulfilled by Brook and Jamie Smith. Both added 73 runs in 88 balls for the sixth wicket and brought the score close to 350. Prasidh Krishna again spread the magic of his bowling in the second session and made wicketkeeper-batsman Jamie Smith his victim. He was dismissed after scoring 40 runs with the help of five fours and a six. After this, Brook was joined by Woakes. They added 49 runs for the seventh wicket. Brook was dismissed after scoring 99 runs in the first innings. He missed his ninth Test century by just one run.
