Lipstick Stain Removal Tips: If you have accidentally stained your favorite white shirt or clothes with lipstick while getting ready, then there is no need to panic. It seems difficult to remove red lipstick stains, but if the right method is adopted, this task can be easy. Here we are telling you a very effective way to remove stubborn lipstick stains, which will make your clothes shine like before. So let's know the easy way to remove lipstick stains from clothes.

Remove lipstick stains like this (how to remove lipstick stains from white clothes)-
First step:
Before cleaning the clothes, definitely check the tag. It is important to know whether the clothes can be machine washed or should be dry cleaned. Also, keep in mind the water temperature information given on the tag; many clothes can get damaged in hot water.
Second step:
As soon as the lipstick stain appears, start cleaning immediately. The more time you take, the more time the lipstick oil will get to absorb into the clothes, and it will become difficult to remove the stain.
Step 3:
Use an old knife or something like an ATM card to gently scrape the lipstick off the surface of the fabric. Be careful not to rub, or else the stain may spread.
Step 4:
Apply a tablespoon of dishwashing liquid soap on both sides of the stain (if possible). Do not pour water over it immediately. Let it sit on the fabric for at least 30 minutes.
Step 5:
Take warm water (as much as the garment's tag allows) in a bucket or large vessel and add a little dish soap to it. Soak the garment in it for at least an hour. If time permits, soaking overnight will be even more effective.
Step 6:
Now take a soft bristle toothbrush and gently scrub the stained area from outside to inside. This will gradually remove the stain instead of spreading it. After this, rinse the garment thoroughly with clean water so that the soap is completely removed.
Step 7:
Wash the garment in a machine or bucket with warm water as per its tag. If you want, you can use oxygen bleach or stain-fighting detergent. If this is not available, half a cup of baking soda can also be added.
Eighth step:
Do not dry the clothes in the dryer because if even a little stain remains, the hot air will make it permanent. Instead, let the clothes dry on the line and check again after drying. If the stain remains, repeat the entire process.

Lipstick stains are definitely stubborn, but if cleaned properly and in time, they can be removed without any trace. Things like dish soap, brush and baking soda present in the house make this task easy. If the stain still does not go away, show the clothes to a good dry cleaner.
