Patna: RJD MP Sudhakar Singh on Saturday launched a blistering attack on Narendra Modi government for allegedly suspending Operation Sindoor and changing its entire strategy under the pressure of United States as the military operation launched following the Pahalgam terror attack failed to achieve its goal due to it.
While talking to newspersons, Singh, son of Bihar RJD president Jagdanand Singh, also put a question mark on the Centre`s initiative to send delegations of MPs to key partner countries, for diplomatic outreach on India-Pakistan conflict when none of the countries openly supported India for launching the operation. He alleged that it also reflected the failure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi`s strategy to strengthen India`s friendship with various countries by visiting there during the last 11 years.
“When Prime Minister could not convey the message of zero terrorism against terrorism to people of the country by suspending Operation Sindoor in 24 hours, how could our 40 MPs be able to do it? The Prime Minister, external affairs minister, and national security advisor should go to the foreign countries and present the country`s stand point of view on the Indo-Pakistan conflict. A special session of the parliament should be convened to discuss Pakistan's sponsored- terrorism before sending all party delegations to various countries,” he added.
“How can you suspend Operation Sindoor if the US asked it to do so? If we do not have an independent policy, how will it take action against terrorists?” he asked.
Before suspending the Operation Sindoor, the Narendra Modi government should have told people under what circumstances it was taking such a decision, he added.
He said that armed forces wanted to carry forward the Operation Sindoor but Narendra Modi government suspended it even when BJP leaders were telling that the country would reclaim POK from Pakistan.
Underplaying Singh`s statement, RJD chief spokesperson Shakti Yadav said that his party was proud of its armed forces, which targeted terrorist attacks in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir. “Our country is, however, opposed to any third party interfering in the matter,” he added.
JD (U) chief spokesperson and MLC Neeraj Kumar asked how RJD could make such an allegation. “How you could put a question mark on the supreme sacrifices made by soldiers,” he added.
