Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Another case has been registered against Dr Abhijeet Pandey, who was arrested by Shahpura police in connection with the suicide of his wife Dr Richa Pandey in March this year. The new FIR has been registered against Pandey at MP Nagar police station for illegally running a makeover and cosmetic treatment clinic sans registration and license.
Pandey who claimed himself to be a dermatologist was also involved in illegal packaging and sale of medicines. The case has been registered on Thursday on the complaint of clerk at collectorate Vijay Gupta. He informed police that a team constituted on instructions of SDM checked two flats occupied by Pandey in MP Nagar area on April 3 and 9.
During the inspection, the team found that cosmetic treatment machines were used without any registration. Moreover, a portion of the flat was used for illegal packaging of unauthorised medicines and drugs. A large quantity of unidentified medicines, bottles, rappers and other equipment was found on the premises.

The team in its report said that the illegal clinic was posing a threat to the health of people. Police officials said that a case has been registered under MP Nursing Home Act, MP Medical Council Act and other relevant sections of BNS.
Take note: Assistant professor at RKDF College, Dr Richa Pandey had allegedly committed suicide at her flat in Shahpura on March 21. Police investigations revealed that she was subjected to harassment by her husband Dr Abhijeet Pandey who was later arrested on abetment of suicide charges.
