Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): District project officer of the Women and Child Welfare Department Rajiv Singh has said the department invited applications for the post of Anganwadi assistants.
The post was vacant at an Anganwadi centre in Thakurra village. Two candidates used fake marksheets of class 5 for the post.
When the incident came to light, the officials lodged a complaint at the Gaurihar police station seeking action against the guilty.
The marksheet of an applicant Sadhana Singh was found fake. The department wrote to the district basic education officer of Chitrakoot (UP) to probe the validity of the class 5 mark sheet submitted by Sadhna Singh.
During the inquiry, it came to light that the mark sheet bearing the entry number 1722 was actually in the name of Dileep Kumar Sahu.
Sahu’s name was removed and Sadhana’s name was written on the marksheet.
Similarly, Ranno Devi Yadav applied for the post of Anganwadi assistant.
A marksheet of class 5 was attached to the application. The department wrote a letter to the district basic education officer of Banda (UP) to inquire about her mark sheet.
According to the inquiry report, the entry number 2446 mentioned in the marksheet was in the name of Rekha, resident of Khaipaar, Banda.
The marksheet of Ranno Devi was also found fake. According to reports, district selection committee decided to lodge a complaint at the Gaurihar police station for action against the culprits.
