Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In a tragic incident, a recklessly driven mini truck hit a group of kawadiyas killing one of them on the spot on Khandwa Road on Wednesday.
The errant driver managed to flee leaving the mini truck on the spot. DSP (Headquarters Rural) Umakant Choudhary informed Free Press that the incident took place near Kati Ghati between Gwalu and Choral village on Wednesday evening.
A group of men carrying the kawad was returning to the city from Omkareshwar when the mini truck coming from Khandwa hit seven kawadiyas one by one. In this incident, a person named Adarsh Rathore (25), a resident of Raj Nagar area of the city, was killed while six others got injured.
Condition of Dhruv Seni, a resident of Nandan Nagar area is stated to be critical and he is undergoing treatment in a city hospital. Other injured people identified as Jitendra, Yash, Vikas, Shubham and Durgesh are undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a group of about 50 people were returning from Omkareshwar carrying kawad.
Seven of them were walking ahead of them when the mini truck hit them. It is said that soon after hitting the kawadiyas, the errant driver managed to flee, leaving his vehicle on the spot.
The police had seized the mini truck and registered a case against the errant driver. The vehicle is registered from Khandwa RTO. The information about the driver is being gathered through the registration number of the vehicle.
