Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Determined to ensure justice for Raja Raghuwanshi, his family has hired three lawyers — two in Delhi and one in Shillong, Meghalaya — to pursue legal battle against all eight accused currently lodged in Shillong jail. The family is also preparing to file a petition in Meghalaya High Court demanding narco-analysis of the accused to uncover the true motive behind the murder.
Raja’s brother Vipin Raghuwanshi said that despite the arrest of all eight accused, the reason behind Raja’s brutal killing remains unclear. ‘We still don’t know why Sonam and Raj killed him. I strongly suspect there is a larger network involved — one that is yet to come to light,’ he said.

‘We are satisfied with the police’s efforts so far, but as Raja’s brother, I am committed to pursuing every legal path,’ he said. If the High Court denies request for narco test, the family plans to escalate the matter to the Supreme Court. Vipin will travel to Delhi and then to Shillong this week to coordinate the next steps in the legal battle.
