Joe Tate could be working with a new Emmerdale villain after a major hint on Monday.
A planned break-in at the farm left one character stabbed and another threatened with a shotgun, and farm owner Moira Dingle immediately knew who was responsible. But a scene may have given away that her believed culprit is in fact working with another villain on the ITV soap.
Monday's episode saw the fallout of Moira declining Joe and Kim Tate's offer to buy the farm. Moira learned Joe was stitching her up and scheming behind her back, not revealing his true intentions.
Not only that but he bribed the water board to reject her fine appeal, and once Moira knew the truth she refused to do business. Joe made it clear he'd get his own way and it seems on Monday he set that plan into motion.
But something he was believed to have done will no doubt spark suspicions that he is in cahoots with new villain Ray. Moira was alarmed to find intruders in one of her barns.

To make matters worse her young children Kyle and Isaac had stumbled upon them amid fears they would lose their home. Kyle ended up stabbing one of the masked intruders with a pitchfork to fend him off.
Soon Moira entered and threatened them with a shotgun, causing them to eventually flee. We didn't see them unmasked at the time, while spoilers had already revealed one of the duo was none other than returning character Dylan.
The teenager is left injured as a result of the stabbing, while it was the scene at the start of the episode that saw Joe make a phone call appearing to orchestrate the break-in. Whether it was for sabotage purposes, a set-up or to scare the family, Joe was heard calling someone known to him before suggesting something was underway.
He was heard asking if all was good with a mystery plan, clearly plotting since his showdown with Moira. Of course when the police came knocking later on Joe denied having anything to do with it, and no action was taken by the police.
But does the fact Joe seems to be involved and he made that phone call, only for Dylan to then break in with someone else, prove that Ray is also involved? The new villain debuted recently and will feature heavily this week and in later scenes.
Viewers are yet to see what he's fully capable of but we do know that he's known to Dylan. Dylan will see him in the village and attempt to flee, hiding from him.
Surely it can't be a coincidence that Dylan is involved in the farm drama likely involving Joe and also happens to be connected to Ray. It didn't seem like Joe was speaking to a teenager on the phone, so might he have contacted Ray, and Ray then sent Dylan and someone else to help him?
