Following the news that Christian Horner has exited his role as Red Bull Team Principal, a source close to the family has revealed to Mirrorthat his wife Geri has made a 'big decision' about their future after being left 'unhappy' with his career change.
Earlier today,it was reported that Christian was axed from his position as the Red Bull Team Principal. In a statement released by Red Bull, the team said: “Red Bull has released Christian Horner from his operational duties with effect from today [Wednesday 9 July 2025] and has appointed Laurent Mekies as CEO of Red Bull Racing."
Christian and Geri have been married since 2015, with the latter sticking by her husband following claims of 'inappropriate behaviour' by him towards a female colleague last year - which he denied and was cleared of following an investigation.

And now, a source tells Mirror that while Geri is yet again supporting her husband during the new career news, it's not an easy decision. "Geri is going to stand by her man and is supporting him fully. Image means so much to her, but behind closed doors she isn't happy about the attention this brings."

The statement from Red Bull, which was released earlier today, went on to include quotes from Oliver Mintzlaff, CEO of Red Bull's Corporate Projects and Investments, thanking Christian for his work with the team.
The news comes after a rocky twelve months for Christian, who was cleared of any wrongdoing by Red Bull last year after a three-week investigation into the claims of inappropriate behaviour. However, the outcome was plagued as messages allegedly sent between Christian and a member of staff at Red Bull’s Formula One team were mysteriously leaked less than 24 hours later.
At the time, Geri put on a united front with her husband and shortly stepped out hand-in-hand with the him as they made a joint appearance at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
But now, the source says Christian's exit from Red Bull has Geri worried more attention will be placed on their relationship.
"Image means so much to Geri and she knows everyone will relate it back to the leaked messages and what went on last year, so it's not easy for her."
Geri and Christian have been married since 2015 and share eight-year-old son Montague. While they have a blended family from their respective previous relationships; with Geri a mum to daughter Bluebell, 18, and Christian sharing daughter Olivia with his ex-wife, Beverley Allen.
Following Christian's investigation, a source told The Sunthat the allegations had come as a "shock" to mum-of-two Geri, with an insider telling The Sun: "People think Geri was just blindly standing by her man through the whole thing, but it's not like that at all."
When the allegations first came out, the source claimed, the Spice Girls star naturally had questions.
"It was a shock to both of them when the allegations blew up - they never saw it coming and a lot of people were spreading hurtful rumours, but it was all untrue, they are in a really good place right now."
