Although it suffered significant damage during the (1642-45), the castle was meticulously restored and revamped in the 18th and early 19th centuries by Charles Howard, the 11th Duke of Norfolk.
Today, visitors can delve into the castle's fascinating past while exploring its grounds. According to Arundel Castle's account, it's one of England's largest inhabited and complete castles.
A TikTok user recently showcased the castle's grandeur in a short video, hailing it as an "underrated gem in the UK."

The official Arundel Castle website boasts that visitors can enjoy a "wonderful variety of landscapes and environments," which includes the distinctive Stumpery, the meticulously designed Collector Earl's garden, the Glasshouses, and experience "explosions of colour" along with "delicate aromas".
Originally a defensive stronghold, Arundel Castle underwent a transformation into an opulent residence for the Dukes of Norfolk during the 18th and 19th centuries.

Arundel Castle is set to host an array of events throughout the year, including medieval festivals, historical re-enactments, and a grand six-day medieval jousting tournament slated for late July.
