Liam Payne's ex Kate Cassidy shares new 'sign' from late star after tragic death

Liam Payne's grieving ex-girlfriend Kate Cassidy has shared the latest 'sign' from the late singer following his tragic death last year. The singer died at the age of 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina in October 2024.

Now, Kate has taken to social media to share what she considered to be a message from Liam months on from his death. The star shared a screenshot of the 4,444 shares on one of her social media posts, writing alongside it, "Hi Liam," with a white heart emoji. Kate has previously spoken about how 444 was - a pattern of numbers that signifies a message of love and support.

Kate wrote in her heartbreaking tribute to Liam at the time of her death that they both believed in that specific angel number.

"A few weeks ago, we sat outside on a beautiful evening manifesting our lives together," she wrote. "I keep your note close, even though you told me not to look at it. It said, 'Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged and together forever 444.'

"Liam, I know we'll be together forever, but not in the way we had planned. You'll always be with me. I've gained a guardian angel. I will love you for the rest of my life and beyond, carrying our dreams and memories with me everywhere I go. Forever yours, Katelyn 444."

Earlier this month, court documents revealed that Liam's ex had been after he died without writing a will. The star shares Bear with Cheryl and left behind £24.3 million.

Kate Cassidy after it was revealed that Liam had left behind £28,595,000, but that Kate would not inherit anything. She posted a light-hearted post just hours afterwards, sharing a snap revealing her bag's contents - a Starbucks snack and hair extensions.

She wrote alongside it: "What's in your purse? ? ? Mine: starbucks and @glamseamless."

Meanwhile, friends of Cheryl revealed that she "will do the right thing" by Bear, who is set to inherit his father's fortune. "It is a small consolation that Bear will never want for anything, that he will at least benefit from that. Liam had some very sensible people around him for a time and he adored Bear so much. He always wanted to do the right thing by him financially," a source close to Liam told .
