Love Island villa in tears as Alima and Ryan dumped in brutal double exit twist

The Islanders were left in tears during tonight's Love Island, as the ITV2 show aired a shock double eviction - which resulted in fan favourite Alima's exit from the villa. Bombshell Ryan, who entered the villa just yesterday was also sent home in the shock twist.

After a day of drama, Tommy received a text asking the Islanders to gather around the Firepit, with new bombshells Billykiss and Ryan standing at the front. However, this wasn't just any old recoupling.

Billykiss was up first, and the boys were asked to stand up if they wanted to recouple with her. Conor, who was coupled up with Alima stood up, after his date with the new bombshell last night. He then said he'd be doing himself a disservice to not explore their connection.

Alima and Billykiss swapped places, and next, it was Ryan's turn. Unfortunately, none of the girls stood up for Ryan, meaning he was left single alongside Alima.

However, instead of being able to couple up with each other, or live in the Island single, the Islanders were left in shock when it was revealed they had been dumped from the Island.

Yasmin and Toni in particular were left in tears when it was announced Alima, who was part of the original line-up, had been dumped from the Island, just as she was building up a connection with Ben.

Fans were left fuming with the results, as one penned: "OOOOOOOO!!!!! Not Alima!!!!" with a second shocked fan screaming: "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? ALIMA DESERVED BETTER!"

As for Ryan, his Love Island journey was cut extremely short, having just entered the villa as a bombshell during yesterday's episode. He decided to date Toni and Shakira, although it doesn't seem like they built up a connection and decided to stay in their current couples.

Earlier in the episode, Harrison told Toni that he kissed Helena on the Terrace yet again while she was away on her date.

It all became too much for Toni, but not enough for her to recouple with Ryan, who was sadly dumped.

With Shakira and Harry on the rocks, will Helena get back with Harry? And will Toni and Harrison get back together?

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
