CBSE Board Exam 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to conduct its board examinations with a focus on fairness and transparency. To enhance security, a new CCTV policy has been established, which mandates the installation of CCTV cameras in examination halls at all CBSE-affiliated schools, both domestically and internationally. Schools lacking CCTV will not be approved as exam centers.

The CBSE has released the schedule for the Class 10 and 12 board exams, which will commence on February 17th. Notably, the board will hold two sets of exams this academic year, with the first being compulsory for all students.

Requirements for CCTV Coverage

As per the new policy, CCTV surveillance is required at the entrance and exit points of the examination halls, as well as at each desk. The cameras will operate continuously throughout the exam duration, allowing for easy retrieval of footage if necessary.

Participation of Students

An estimated 4.5 million students from 26 countries are expected to participate in the CBSE Class 10 and 12 board exams. The policy also includes provisions for signage to inform students about the CCTV presence. This information will be communicated through student handbooks, notice boards, and orientation sessions, ensuring that students are aware of the surveillance.
