Questions have once again started being raised on the citizenship of Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan's daughter Alia Bhatt. All this happened when Soni Razdan shared a post on social media for India-Pakistan peace. However, as soon as her post was uploaded, she started getting trolled badly. Seeing the controversy growing, she deleted her post, but the trolls questioned her daughter's citizenship.
Alia Bhatt's mother, Soni Razdan, is of British origin. Even though Alia was born in India, she has British citizenship and a passport. Questions have been raised about her citizenship many times, and once again, there is talk about her on social media. After questions were raised on her daughter's citizenship, Soni gave a befitting reply. Soni Razdan may have deleted the post about India-Pakistan peace, but users are commenting on one of her posts.
Alia Bhatt's citizenship questioned
A user commented, "While peace is the ideal goal, it is important to acknowledge who is fuelling the conflict. Our soldiers are carrying out carefully targeted operations while the other side is openly attacking residential areas and killing civilians. Urging peace without context, especially when our people are dying and protecting our borders, seems disconnected from ground realities. Also, the message coming from someone whose daughter is enjoying all the privileges of India while holding a foreign citizenship raises concerns about integrity and accountability." Soni Razdan's befitting reply to the user
Soni Razdan replied to this user and said, "My appeal for peace was not to India but to Pakistan. After all, they are the aggressors. We are just retaliating and that is right. I think people have concluded in haste. Also it was a general statement. Hope this clears everything up. I am as frustrated as everyone else. War is a terrible thing. Anyone who has gone through war would not want this for anyone else."
Trolled for being a part of Raazi
A user questioned Soni's involvement in the film Raazi and said, "Can't believe you were a part of a film like Raazi (Alia Bhatt starrer). Please watch your film again and then advocate for peace." To this, Soni said that she just wants peace. People are coming to conclusions without understanding. She further said, "Peace should be between two countries, unless you think that this war is Pakistan fighting against itself?"
