Shaina NC, known for her transition from the fashion world to politics, has been appointed the national spokesperson of Shiv Sena for one year by party chief and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The announcement was made via a press statement released on Monday, highlighting her new responsibilities within the party’s national framework.
Shaina NC’s political journey began in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), where she entered politics in 2024, inspired by the late Gopinath Munde, and took on roles such as BJP’s national spokesperson and treasurer for its Maharashtra unit. Ahead of the November 2024 state assembly elections, she switched allegiance to Shiv Sena, a partner in the ruling Mahayuti alliance, though she was unsuccessful in her bid for the Mumbadevi seat.
Beyond politics, Shaina NC is a Guinness World Record holder for draping a saree the fastest and is recognized for her extensive social work. Educated at Queen Mary School and St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai, she also holds a diploma in fashion designing from the Fashion Institute of Technology. This new appointment marks a significant step in her evolving political career.
