Gogglebox fans slam Jenny and Lee over 'dangerous' behaviour as they voice concerns

Gogglebox favourites Lee Riley and Jenny Newby have faced criticism from fans over their recent antics away from the cameras.

The duo became part of the beloved Channel 4 programme in 2014 and quickly established themselves as viewer darlings. Throughout the years, the Hull-based friends - who have maintained their bond for over 25 years - have left countless audiences in hysterics with their witty remarks.

Beyond the long-running series, Lee and Jenny frequently share glimpses of their everyday adventures through their shared Instagram profile, which boasts an impressive 869k followers.

On Thursday (September 11), the pair returned with fresh content, posting footage of themselves during a car journey, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Nevertheless, the video sparked backlash from several supporters who were swift to criticise their conduct. The footage showed Jenny behind the wheel whilst a "terrified" Lee occupied the passenger seat.

Expressing his worries, Lee remarked: "This is the most terrifying thing I am in now." Jenny responded: "What do you mean? I am alright." Lee then proclaimed: "She's not, I tell you now" before crying out that there was a vehicle ahead of them, alerting Jenny: "There's a car, there's a car."

Jenny maintained that the vehicle was "pulling out" and it wasn't her responsibility, leading to continued squabbling with Lee.

Ultimately, he informed viewers "never again with Jenny", whilst cautioning her about the kerbs. The pair added the caption: "Never EVER EVER again."

While many of Lee and Jenny's followers found the clip amusing, others were less than impressed, criticising their behaviour while driving. One disgruntled viewer vented in the comments section: "Lee you're going to cause a serious crash for distracting the driver".

Another chimed in: "It's ok having a laugh but being an idiot could cause an accident." A third warned: "The way you're acting, you're gonna make a crash."

However, other followers were tickled by their banter. One fan wrote: "A breath of sunshine laugh." Another enthused: "These guys make me laugh brilliant."
