Hot weather maps pinpoint 18 cities to be scorched as 24C Iberian blast to hit UK

New maps predict a wave of weather across the UK next week. According to the latest data from WX Charts, temperatures are expected to rise significantly by Saturday, May 24, around 7pm. London could see highs of up to 24C, with other parts of the country enjoying similarly pleasant conditions. Areas such as East Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Essex, and Hampshire are also forecast to experience temperatures of 23C, 22C, and 21C.

High are also expected on Tuesday, May 20, reaching as far north as Leeds. Another WX Charts weather map shows warm conditions across the northwest, with temperatures forecast to hit 24C around Manchester, 23C in Liverpool, and up to 22C in London by around 7pm.

The 's long range forecast from May 18 to May 27 reads: "Mostly dry and largely sunny conditions are expected to continue for the vast majority over the next several days as a slow-moving area of high pressure remains dominant.

"It will continue to be warm or very warm for many, especially in the west, but it will be remain cooler in the east, especially along coasts, with some coastal areas seeing persistent low cloud at times, accompanied by a brisk breeze off the North Sea.

"There is an increasing chance that conditions will turn more unsettled from late next week though, as areas of rain and strengthening winds threaten from the west and/or south (the latter bringing a risk of thunderstorms). This would most likely to be accompanied by temperatures dropping nearer to average for the time of year."
