The world is full of fascinating places and while some are well known, others are more hidden.
Some destinations are tucked away in remote locations that aren't the easiest to get to but are well worth the trip. Raimee, who works in the travel industry and is a travel content creator, shares itineraries, holiday recommendations and advice.
She recently visited Doubtful Sound, a fjord in the Fiordland National Park, in the far south west of New Zealand. It is known for its vast, untouched wilderness, intense silence and pristine environment.
Doubtful Sound can only be reached by a boat trip across Lake Manapouri and a bus over Wilmot Pass whereas Milford Sound, another fjord in Fiordland, has direct road access. Raimee shared a video on Instagram about her experience exploring this New Zealand hidden gem.
She said: "I'm about to spend the night in one of the most remote places in the world and this is what it's like. To get there I have to take an hour-long ferry to about an hour-long bus through the mountains and get on another big ship to end up here.
"This is Doubtful Sound in New Zealand. You may have heard of Milford Sound, it's very famous, but not a lot of people visit Doubtful Sound because it is more difficult to get to but that's what makes it so much more magical."
The travel expert spent the night on a ship, which she said was the only boat on the water. She enjoyed kayaking through the fjords and gazing at the waterfalls.
Raimee highly recommends checking out Doubtful Sound if you're travelling to New Zealand. She added: "This was probably my favourite thing I did on my entire trip there.
"There are a few companies that have tours like this where you can stay the night or two nights on a boat. We had amazing guides with us that showed us wildlife and all meals were included."
The content creator shared the trip was a bit more on the expensive side but worth it. In the caption of her Instagram post she wrote: "No civilisation, no roads to get here, one of the most magical places I've ever been!
"This place is called the Sound of Silence for a reason and you'll rarely experience anything quite like it!" The clip has garnered plenty of views, likes and comments.
One user observed: "The reflection on the water! Oh my God." Another said: "That water is so glassy!!! Stunning."
A third added:"It's even more magical in the rain because there are so many waterfalls. It's an amazing day trip as well but I'm so jealous that you spent the night."
Someone else commented: "This looks incredible! I will need to note this for a future trip there!"
