Stand-up comedian and YouTuber Samay Raina, was left shaken by the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Taking to Instagram, he shared a screenshot of the horrifying news and wrote, “Unable to sleep tonight.”
This emotional message struck a chord with his fans, many of whom are used to his light-hearted content. Samay, a Kashmiri Pandit from Jammu, has often opened up about his roots, sometimes through heartfelt reflections, sometimes through sharp satire.

In 2022, after watching the film 'The Kashmir Files', he tweeted a moving tribute to his parents: “My learning from the movie is that my parents went through the worst and still managed to work hard in a different city, starting from scratch and raised me the best they could. Forever indebted to them.”

Samay wasn’t alone in expressing grief. Several Bollywood celebrities also reacted strongly to the attack.
Akshay Kumar posted on X, “Horrified to know of the terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam. Sheer evil to kill innocent people like this. Prayers for their families.”
Vicky Kaushal wrote on Instagram, "Can't imagine the pain of the family members who lost their loved ones in the absolutely inhumane act of terrorism in Pahalgam. My deepest condolences and prayers.”
Sanjay Dutt, meanwhile, called for strong retaliation and urged the government to take action. "They killed our people in cold blood. This can’t be forgiven, these terrorists need to know we are not staying quiet. We need to retaliate. I request our Prime Minister @narendramodi ji, Home Minister @AmitShah ji and Defence Minister @rajnathsingh ji to give them what they deserve.”
