Actress Sheen Das is set to give fans a good time with her new supernatural drama Aami Damini. The actress will be impressing fans with her role of Dakini Chadail. Sheen exclusively spoke to Times of India TV, where she opened up about the storyline, her preparation for the show, and more. The actress even opened up about the stereotype around television and how it’s changing with time.

Sheen mentioned how the actors are now seen for their potential and not the tag that they carry. She further shared how her OTT show is yet to come out and that she is very excited for it.

Talking about the stereotype, she shared, “Yes, the stereotype is slowly breaking. If they see potential now, they are ready to give the role, so yes, it’s slowly changing. I won’t say it has changed completely, but yes, it’s changing with time, and I feel like it’s a good sign for everyone.”

The actress also opened up about resuming work right after marriage and said, “Yes, there has not been any break, and I’ve resumed work directly. I’m grateful that I’m getting work. I personally feel like till the time our health is good, we should be working. In fact, my husband doesn’t believe in breaks. He’s very supportive and hence pushes me to work because he knows how much I love it. He knows how much I love challenging roles, and the Dakini role is very different, and I would have never said no.”

The actress then spoke about her preparation for the character. She shared, “I’ve never done something like this on TV before. It’s my first time doing something like this for TV. The look is very bold, and it justifies the role. There’s a lot of emotion that is driving the horror in the show. I saw a lot of horror movies. There’s a certain way the character had to walk, talk, and do everything, so there’s a lot of preparation that went behind not just the physical aspect but also the emotional.”

Later, Sheen shared her take on the storyline and said, “There are two aspects of my role — one of a 100-year-old and another is of a girl who was a great musician. The show will portray that her love is timeless, and she is in love with her boyfriend. The character will wait for her boyfriend to be reincarnated so that she can finally reunite with him.”
