Rockstar's latest GTA Online updates: Are they game-changing or just filler content?

Send Push
GTA Online has been around longer than some TikTok trends, and with every update, we’re left wondering: is this the one that really switches things up, or is it just more fluff to keep us logging in? Two recent DLC drops — Agents of Sabotage (Dec 2024) and Oscar Guzman Flies Again (Mar 2025) — promised chaos, espionage, jet engines, and corporate takedowns. But are they delivering the goods... or just flexing flashy trailers?
Two Updates. Two Vibes. One Question: Worth It?GTA Online: Agents of Sabotage and Oscar Guzman Flies Again dropped like bombs — literally. But are these updates actually changing the game, or are they just dressed-up distractions?

Agents of Sabotage Update“Agents of Sabotage” brought us back to the iconic Darnell Bros Garment Factory, aka nostalgia central for anyone who remembers the OG story mode heists. This time, you’re working with ex-FIB agent Jodi Marshall and our fave submarine captain, Pavel (yes, he’s still unhinged), to run shadowy ops under the noses of the IAA.

What’s cool:
  • The FIB Files are multi-stage, high-stakes missions that feel like mini-heists, complete with hacking, stealth, and some serious action.
  • The Terrorbyte upgrades are clutch; you can now go full ghost mode on the map, scan for collectibles, and manage your empire from your mobile fortress.
  • Underground fast travel? Huge W for anyone sick of flying across the map every 5 minutes.
What’s mid:
  • Some missions are basically just “go here, shoot this” with a fancy label. It's fun, but not groundbreaking.

Oscar Guzman Flies Again UpdateThis update feels like a spiritual sequel to Trevor’s smuggling empire. You're taking over McKenzie Field Hangar and helping arms dealer Oscar Guzman go full Top Gun vs. Big Military Corp (Eberhard Munitions).

What slaps:
  • New Arms Trafficking Missions are wild: fighting cougars, drone hacking, submarine explosions, and yes — you can finally drop into combat from a freakin’ jet.
  • New vehicles? Fire. The Coquette D5 is sleek and missile-proof, the Titan 250 D is basically a flying tank, and that Iron Mule chopper? Chef’s kiss.
  • The McKenzie Hangar adds serious flex potential — aircraft storage, off-radar airstrikes, and smoother mission launching.
What’s filler:
  • If you’re not into flying or smuggling, this update might feel like “cool, but not for me.” It leans hard into the aviation fantasy.
Rockstar’s latest updates are not just fluff. They’re some of the most versatile and ambitious content drops we’ve seen in years. Whether you're a casual chaos-lover or a grind-happy completionist, both updates bring something fresh to the table — and they make GTA Online feel alive again.
