Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a construction worker allegedly stabbed his co-worker to death following a petty argument in Kadugodi police limits.
The victim has been identified as Pawan Yadav (55), a native of Jharkhand. The accused, Ganesh Dhar (46), also from Jharkhand, has been arrested in connection with the murder.
According to police, the incident occurred around 4 PM on April 28, when an argument broke out between the two over a trivial family-related discussion while they were reportedly under the influence of alcohol. In a fit of rage, Ganesh Dhar allegedly stabbed Pawan in the chest and ribs with a knife and fled the scene.
Both had been working as construction labourers in the city for the past two years and were currently employed at an apartment construction site in Seegahalli, where they also lived in a temporary shed.
Co-workers rushed the severely injured Pawan to a nearby private hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries. Based on a complaint filed by one of the construction contractors, Kadugodi police registered a case and arrested the accused.
